COURAGE
BEST RUMOUR UNFOUNDED |
Strange as it may seem, in Britain today there
are people who have never tasted Courage Best Bitter.
While we understand that pubs in some places have not yet started stocking the
ale, The Two Brewers believes it is in the interests of all those who appreciate
the finer things in life, to press more landlords to offer Courage Best Bitter
to their customers.
More worrying is the false rumour being spread about that some people are deliberately
keeping the ale secret due to an unfounded fear supplies of Courage Best might
run out if everyone drank it!
It is believed the rumour came about because a Courage Best brewer never turned
down a pint of beer if someone else offered to buy it. But he would go very quiet
if someone asked him what he was drinking and he would say he would get his own,
thank you very much!
“I can see why he would want to keep knowledge of such a fine pint to himself,” said
a friend of the brewer, “but rumours spread and get out of hand. It’s
like Chinese whispers, a rumour starts because someone doesn’t want to
reveal what he is drinking and, before you know it, drinkers are talking of a
shortage.”
And so, at The Two Brewers we want to impress upon all good fellow-drinkers of
Courage Best that it is incumbent upon us to spread a universal appreciation
of this fine pint which is rare in quality but could so easily be available to
all.

we don’t keep, tell us, we may be able to
get hold of it for you.
