THE
BEAUTIFUL GAME
– but which one do you choose? |
Hundreds
of people regularly play the ‘beautiful game’ with
the round ball at The Two Brewers but this is not the
ball used by our favourite football teams such as Man
U, Liverpool, Chelsea or Newcastle.
Our round ball comes in either wood or steel. If it
also involves wooden ‘pins’ then the participants
are in the highly-charged atmosphere of a skittles
match in the Two Brewers alley where the competition
can be fierce.
The steel balls – or ‘boules’ – are
for the aficionados of Petanque, the game played in
thousands of town and village squares throughout France
and we have our own ‘court’ at The Two
Brewers.
Many teams use our skittles and boules facilities for
regular competitions, but they also are available for
private bookings – just ask at the bar if you
fancy a go. |
